Oreste Castelnuovo Trafile: twenty years of growth through tradition and new markets

Oreste Castelnuovo Trafile was once again featured in the local newspaper La Provincia di Lecco. The Italy-based company, specializing in the production of tungsten carbide dies since 2004, stands out for its speed, precision, and customized services.

The article, published in the Artisans and SMEs section of the April 25 edition, retraces the company history, before exploring the challenges of internationalization and the generational transition.

Founded by Oreste Castelnuovo, the company today also relies on the valuable collaboration of his daughter Giada, who is part of a dynamic and predominantly female team—something unique in the metalworking sector. The handover brought with it digitalized processes, advanced warehouse management, and the recently acquired ISO 14001 certification, which joins the established ISO 9001.

A key turning point came in 2022 with participation in wire & Tube Düsseldorf, which turned occasional contacts into stable partnerships.
