Sala Punzoni innovates internal management to support production growth

In an industrial context increasingly focused on data control and traceability, Sala Punzoni has embarked on a management transformation to make its daily operations more efficient and integrated. The project, launched more than 15 years ago and still evolving, has enabled the company to develop a customized information system, in collaboration with a technology partner, to respond precisely to its production and planning needs.
An integrated system to address business growth
With the progressive expansion of its operations, Sala Punzoni faced the challenge of managing an increasing amount of data and operational flows. The use of disconnected tools created inefficiencies, redundancies, and delays in information sharing between offices and departments. The need for a flexible, scalable management system capable of providing an overall view of production processes emerged as a top priority.
A customized management system born from direct collaboration
Instead of relying on a standardized solution, Sala Punzoni developed a modular management system with the support of SIATec Srl and Team Quality Srl, IT service providers of the IMTeam group. The result is a platform built step by step, with features designed and adapted based on continuous feedback from company staff.

• production planning with integration of process cycles
• production data collection through MES terminals on the shop floor
• reporting and analysis through business intelligence
• connection to machines compatible with Industry 4.0 and 5.0 standards
• order monitoring system for customers
• supply chain and outsourced processing management
The system’s evolutionary logic has ensured perfect alignment with internal processes, making the software a true daily work tool.
Training, adoption, and continuous support
The introduction of the management system was accompanied by dedicated training and constant technical support, which facilitated adoption by all staff, including those in production departments.
Over the years, the collaboration has also expanded to cover system management and the company’s IT infrastructure, including security, backups, regulatory compliance, and hardware support, further strengthening process digitalization.
Thanks to this project, Sala Punzoni has been able to address the growing complexity of the market in a structured way and ensure greater efficiency, traceability, and visibility of its production flows.
The strengthening of digital management is part of a broader structural and technological reorganization plan that has involved the entire company: from upgrading production plants to repositioning the production layout, and introducing new machinery and software tools.
