Fort Wayne Wire Die gears up for wire Mexico with joint American and Mexican teams

The leading American die manufacturer Fort Wayne Wire Die Inc. has high expectations for the first edition of wire Mexico. Scheduled to take place from January 30 to February 1, 2024, as part of Expo Manufactura, the event is eagerly anticipated by wire and cable professionals all around the world.

We reached out to Logan Scherer, Regional Sales Manager at FWWD, to share his predictions on the novel trade show, providing expometals' readers with valuable perspectives.

January will mark the inaugural wire show in Mexico, what are your expectations for the event?
We anticipate robust growth in the wire and cable market in Mexico and are enthusiastic about reinforcing our presence in this area. In light of this, our expectations are high for attracting a diverse and engaged audience, particularly from local wire and cable manufacturers. We are optimistic that the show will not only serve as a hub for networking and knowledge exchange, but also contribute to the overall advancement and development of these key segments in Mexico.

Are you going to spotlight anything in particular?
We've recently inaugurated a wire die manufacturing plant in Queretaro, dedicated to servicing the Mexican wire industry. For this reason, at wire Mexico, we will be spotlighting the enhanced service capabilities that our new facility offers to the local market. We will be bringing a team consisting of our Sales Manager for North America, Latin American Sales Manager from our Queretaro office, and our company President, who will provide sales and technical support during the event.

Do you have other projects in the pipeline for 2024?
Certainly, in the upcoming year of 2024, we are dedicated to ongoing projects aimed at enhancing our operational efficiency and customer service. A key focus is on optimizing the turnaround time for recut finishing and elongation sets. The plant in Queretaro is pivotal in facilitating these improvements, ensuring faster and more efficient services.

We thank Mr. Scherer for his time and invite all readers interested in exploring the company’s portfolio to drop by the company’s stand 336A at wire Mexico 2024.
