Polymer frames for protective face masks: Hyperion’s expertise for the people

Hyperion Materials & Technologies is proud to inform that its Spanish team, based in Barcelona, is contributing to COVID-19 relief efforts while continuing to serve Hyperion’s customers.

The company’s technical expertise in carbide additive manufacturing resulted in a repurposed 3D printer to make polymer frames for protective face masks. The company’s Spanish staff is working side by side with the Coronavirus Makers network - a group of volunteers committed to rapidly manufacture safety equipment for health care centers.

The company also donated surplus PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to a local hospital.

Furthermore, following in its Spanish team's footprints, Hyperion's Ohio headquarters is now 3D printing face shield frames for a local nonprofit which will deliver them to public safety and health organizations.
