New EDM wire machinery at QP Mechanics
A few months ago a new Wire EDM has become a part of the machineries at QP Mechanics.
The machine was built by a well-known worldwide leading company in the field. A generator is equipped with the latest technology to reduce the phenomenon of decarburisation of the surface layer of carbide and bring it back to around 0.002 / 0.003 mm.
This major detail canceled a phenomenon that sometimes brought customers not to want CARBIDE parts worked with EDM because it could cause microfractures in the surface layer - which meant a shorter duration of the equipment.
The use of linear motors for the movement of the axes ensures the best positioning accuracy even after several years of use. There are no more parts coming into contact, a possible cause of wear and degradation of the overall accuracy of the machine.
The software, equipped with internal CAM and fully configurable, allows the company to easily manage the programming of continuously new works.
A few months after installation, QP Mechanics is very pleased with the purchase and the feedback of customers - a reason to believe that the choice was a winning one.
So now in addition to providing equipment (both carbide and steel) and manufacturing on behalf of others or under contract, what QP Mechanics has done so far (grinding of various kinds, turning, polishing etc.), today the company is also able to internally achieve cutted wire parts or work on your existing parts with the usual quality and precision.
