Polycrystalline synthetic diamond dies

Polycrystalline synthetic diamond dies

Polycrystalline synthetic diamond dies were introduced in 1974 as new drawing tools. In recent years this product has become known thanks to an extraordinary rise in production.

One of the reasonsof its success can be found in the structural features of the material which possesses  a similar hardness  to the diamond and a strenght to the hard metal.

At present small synthetic diamond blanks  can cover the whole range  from 0,10 to 10,00 mm. diam. and even upwards. They are made by leading companies such as General Electric, Sumitomo , De Beers and are available in several granulometries.
