Back from LAMIERA 2022, off-the-cuff remarks

After three years of waiting, the 21st edition of LAMIERA, Italy's leading trade fair for sheet metal forming and related technologies, finally hit the stage.

This is the third time the event has been hosted in the halls of fieramilano Rho (Milan), after starting in Bologna; promoted by UCIMU, the association of Italian machine tool manufacturers, LAMIERA is organized by CEU-CENTRO ESPOSIZIONI UCIMU.

Alongside the machines, the core of the exhibition, the event also presented a comprehensive overview of the technologies related to the sheet metal forming field, showcased in several areas of innovation: Fabbricafutura (software and technologies for business connectivity and data management), Fastener Industry (fastening systems), EcoCoach (sheet metal varnishing), Blech Italy service (subcontracting and industry services), and Saldatech (welding sector).

While attendance was decent on May 18 and 19, the fair gained more momentum on the third and fourth days. With more than 350 exhibitors and a dense program of in-depth cultural meetings on relevant technological topics, LAMIERA thus confirmed its position among the most relevant international events dedicated to this sector.

We of expometals.net were there too, and with us some of our customers who participated as exhibitors, such as Caruso Fasteners, FAR, Mazak, Rivit, Technopartner along with the new entry Cemsa, a specialist in the production of resistance welders.

LAMIERA returns for the 22nd edition next year, from May 10-13, 2023, once again at the fieramilano Rho exhibition center.


May 30, 2022 update: According to official fair sources, more than 19,000 visitors were registered during the 4-day event, 12 percent of them from abroad. 
365 companies participated with a booth, occupying a total exhibition area of more than 40,000 sqm.
