Bumi Minerals Units Get Green Light For Zinc, Gold Mining Operations.

JAKARTA -(Dow Jones)- PT Bumi Resources Minerals (BRMS.JK) said Friday that a zinc and lead project operated by unlisted unit PT Dairi Prima Mineral in North Sumatera province is on track to begin producing in the second half of 2013, after it secured an initial forestry permit for underground mining.
"The in-principle agreement for the underground mining works at Dairi Prima Mineral gives better certainty to the company's production profile. We are on track to start production in the second half of 2013 from our zinc and lead project," the company said in a statement.
Bumi Minerals, 87.09% owned by thermal coal producer PT Bumi Resources (BUMI.JK), also said that unlisted unit PT Citra Palu Minerals, has obtained work and exploration permits on 54,404 hectares of land in its gold and molybdenum concession on Sulawesi island.
