CabWire World Conference 2013: Final Report
On November 4th, Milan hosted the CabWire World Conference, co-organized by some of the main associations in the wirefield: IWCEA (International Wire & Cable Exhibitors Association), WAI (Wire Association International, Inc.), IWMA (International Wire & Machinery Association), ACIMAF (Italian Wire and Cable Machinery Manufacturers), C.E.T (European Wire Drawing Committee), together with Promos and Milan's Chamber of Commerce.
Expometals.net successfully attended the event with a table top, together with some major companies that appear on the portal: August Strecker GmbH & Co KG, Paramount Die Co Inc, Queins Machines GmbH, Fort Wayne Wire Die Inc, Maschinenfabrik Niehoff GmbH & Co and TKT Group SpA.
This year's theme at the conference was “Innovations driving worldwide wire and cable markets”. The total attendees were 180, of which 79 coming from Italy, 28 from Germany, 21 from U.K., 8 from the U.S., 6 from France and 5 from Austria.
After the conference, a gala dinner was held in the magnificent scenery of Palazzo Clerici. On the next day November 5th, about 30 participants took part in a guided tour to the facilities of an Ori Martin factory.
