China hasn't received WTO final ruling on raw material

China hasn't received WTO final ruling on raw material. Staff Reporters MetalSource Non-Ferrous Metals BEIJING (Dow Jones)--China hasn't yet received a report from the World Trade Organization giving its final ruling on the country's restrictions on the exports of nine raw materials, the China Business News reported Friday, citing a "relevant person" at the country's commerce ministry. The Wall Street Journal reported in February that the WTO was preparing to issue a preliminary report concluding that China had no legal right to impose export restrictions on the nine raw materials, including zinc and coke. The WTO issued the preliminary report Feb. 18, but it is still covered by a confidentiality period, the newspaper reported the person at the ministry as saying. The U.S., the E.U. and Mexico filed the WTO complaint about China's export controls on the nine raw materials in 2009.
