EEC 2026 & EMECR 2026: steel production and environmental transition come together

The key event for the international steel industry
AIM and siderweb co-organized the14th European Electric Steelmaking Conference (EEC 2026) and the International Conference on Energy and Material Efficiency and CO₂ Reduction in the Steel Industry (EMECR 2026), bringing the international steel community together for a joint edition focused on production technologies and sustainability. The debate, held at the Marriott Hotel in Milan from May 11 to 13, 2026, will cover a wide range of topics, from steel production using electric arc furnaces (EAF) and other electricity-based processes to key environmental issues, including CO₂ emissions reduction, material efficiency and product life cycle analysis in the global steel industry.
For the first time, these conferences will run alongside the siderweb FORUM, the second edition of the biennial event dedicated to discussing the present and future of the Italian and European steel sectors.
The Conferences will be enriched with an exhibition, where sponsors will be able to display new technologies and equipment.
