EuroBLECH 2026 post-show: a new hall layout and exhibitor voices

EuroBLECH 2026 post-show: a new hall layout and exhibitor voices

The 28th EuroBLECH, the international sheet metal working technology exhibition, took place from October 20 to 23, 2026, at the Hanover Exhibition Grounds in Germany. Expometals.net, an official media partner of the exhibition, was on site and gathered first-hand impressions from companies featured on the platform.

Official figures are not available yet

At the time of writing (October 26), the organizer, RX, has not yet published final figures for visitors and exhibitors. We will update this article as soon as official data is released.

The 2024 edition closed with 1,317 exhibitors and 38,946 visitors from 114 countries, on 160,000 square meters of gross exhibition space. According to the exhibitor directory on the EuroBLECH website, consulted on October 26, 1,001 exhibitors were listed for 2026. The directory also flags 244 of them as new exhibitors, about a quarter of the total.

A new hall layout

The 2026 edition was spread across eight halls (11 to 17 and 27), compared with nine in 2024, when Hall 26 was also in use. According to the organizer, surface and joining technology exhibitors were consolidated in Hall 16 to foster connections between complementary technologies.

Based on the visitor map distributed at the show, the halls were organized as follows:

  • Halls 11 to 15: sheet metal working machines, systems, and solutions
  • Hall 16: joining and surface technology
  • Hall 17: materials, sheet metal products, and job shop services
  • Hall 27: forming technologies and solutions

Impressions from the show floor

During our visit, we noticed that attendance varied from one hall to another. As always, the overall assessment depends heavily on each company's expectations. A more subdued atmosphere, where perceived, may also be linked to the current economic climate. Here are the comments we collected.

“The show has always been a worldwide reference point, a place to meet business partners from all over the world. We acknowledge the low turnout of end users. As a company, we are focusing on promoting our expertise in welding for the aeronautical sector, with machines that comply with international quality standards for the welded joint.”

CEMSA – Luca Alpago

“Trade shows are undergoing a transformation compared to the past, partly due to increasing digitalization. Nevertheless, EuroBLECH remains an important opportunity to meet with customers and partners. We had the chance to unveil our new logo, which received very positive feedback. Attendance reflected the current market conditions, which are inevitably different from those of twenty years ago.”
The CR Cuscinetti team

“FIMI's worldwide reputation always attracts a considerable number of visitors to the stand, so the show went well, as always. Unfortunately, the overall atmosphere of the fair was on a smaller scale than in previous editions, both in the number of outside visitors and in the number of exhibitors. In terms of geographic origin, Europe was the most represented region, followed by Turkey, while Indian, American, and generally non-EU visitors were almost absent. The product that drew the most attention was certainly the 32 mm cut-to-length line, the first of its kind worldwide.”

FIMIGroup – Mario Colombo

“For us it was important to be present to consolidate relationships with existing customers, with negotiations under way. We also made a few interesting new contacts. Digital coil coating in HD developed by Barni for Marcegaglia generated a lot of interest. Visitors were also curious about the corporate change, the acquisition by Comas. We received interesting inquiries from Germany, and from India as well.”

Guida Impianti and Barni Spa – Fabio Ferrario

Looking ahead

The next EuroBLECH, the 29th edition, will take place from October 24 to 27, 2028, in Hanover, Germany.
