Fastener Fair Stuttgart 2019: opinions and impressions

The 8th edition of Fastener Fair Stuttgart, the international exhibition for the fastener and fixing industry, was staged once again at the Stuttgart exhibition grounds in Germany, on March 19-21.

A total of 12,070 visitors from 90 countries visited the show to discover the latest trends and products from fastener and fixing - 3% more than the previous event.  Under the spotlights, 987 international exhibitors presented the complete spectrum of fastener and fixing technologies on a total net exhibition space of 22,200 square metres. This represents a further increase in exhibitor numbers by around 10% and a further increase in exhibition space of 5% which resulted in the biggest Fastener Fair Stuttgart to date.

“Fastener Fair Stuttgart 2019 was an absolute record event, in terms of exhibitor numbers and exhibition space as well as visitor numbers. There was a buoyant atmosphere on the show floor which also reflects the overall positive economic development within the industry”, said Liljana Goszdziewski, Exhibition Director of Fastener Fair Stuttgart.

The comments we have collected have largely been positive. According to data provided by the fair organization, around 70% of all visitors came from the EU. Germany was the biggest visitor country followed by Italy and Great Britain. The majority of visitors were fastener and fixing wholesalers, manufacturers as well as distributors and suppliers. Many exhibitors appreciated, besides the number of visitors, their quality.

Florian Leys, Technical Application Specialist - Condat Lubricants: "The fair was generally good. We managed to create some contacts, especially with Indians. It was a good occasion to show ourself and our products". 

Riccardo D'Ambrosio, CEO - Regg Inspection: "We are really satisfied with this fair exhibition and have fulfilled our expectations, taking advantage from this occasion that gave us the opportunity to show our last inspection system i600 5.0. As a great team, we are glad to have met experts of the sector in order to keep us always updated with the technological innovations of the market".

This year, Fastener Fair will take place in other selected international target markets. Fastener Fair India 2019 will be held from 25 – 26 April 2019 in Mumbai. Fastener Fair USA is scheduled to open its doors on May 22 – 23 in Detroit. From 19 – 20 June Fastener Fair Mexico with welcome all fasteners industry professionals in Mexico City. New exhibition dates for 2021
After considering feedback from the exhibitors the organizers decided to reschedule the next Fastener Fair Stuttgart to May - just for the 2021 event. The 9th edition of the show will therefore take place from 18 – 20 May 2021 at the Stuttgart Exhibition Grounds in Germany.
