GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST: the trade fair quartet is back to Düsseldorf

From June 25 to 29, the four fairs GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST will crowd once again the halls 3 to 5 and 9 to 17 of Messe Düsseldorf fairground. All 4 exhibitions are stand-alone, each representing a specific field, but together they make up for the complete picture presented by the “Bright World of Metals”.

GIFA, which has reached its 14th edition, represents the whole market of foundry plants and die-casting machinery. METEC is dedicated to steel making companies, rolling mills manufactures and forging technology. The core of THERMPROCESS consists of industrial furnaces, thermal treatments and processing, while the fifth edition of NEWCAST will feature a wide range of foundry products.

During the last edition in 2015, the 4 events registered 78,000 visitors coming from over 120 different countries, as well as 2,214 international exhibitors. The economic situation is quite favorable; the aeronautic industry, one of the major outlet markets, has reached a market volume of 1 billion euros, with an expected turnover of 9.6 billion by 2030. The automotive and medical sectors are also growing, with a forecast turnover respectively of 2.61 and 5.59 billions in the next 10 years. Positive signals are also coming from the eMobility, with electric and hybrid cars sales increasing in all the major markets.
