Giuseppe Arrigoni snc was founded in 1888 by Giuseppe Arrigoni, one of the most skillful and inventive craftsmen who, taking advantage of the numerous iron mines present in the vicinity of the town of Lecco, decided to start a handicraft activity based on the working of this metal. At the beginning the production was centralized on the manufacture of chains, buckles, bits, stirrups and currycombs. Later, the founder's sons, Luigi and Ernesto, began to work in the firm. In 1936, owing to the changing market and greater demand for these products, they moved the activity to larger and more suitable premises in Via Arlenico 10.

Over the years the firm became more and more flourishing and greatly increased its range of products.For this reason it was necessary to build more workshop. Today the products range from iron articles for saddlery and sport to small metallic parts moulded and forged for clothing, leather goods, luggage, trucks, as well as for civil, military and railway supplies. With the entrance in the firm of the grandsons of the founder, Giuseppe and Giorgio, a new impulse was given to the activity. The firm was modernized with new machinery and technologically advanced equipment to garantee a solid continuity.
