India imposes anti-dumping duties on some Chinese steel products
The Ministry of Finance of India issued a note on November 2nd stating that hot rolled bars and rods of alloy and non-alloy steel originating in China have been exported to India below normal values causing a damage to the domestic market.
The Indian government imposes therefore anti-dumping duties on these products to protect the local mills. The measure, that originates from an application jointly filed by Steel Authority of India Limited, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam, Usha Martin and JSW Steel Ltd (link), shall be effective for six months.
