Interwire 2015 final report
The longest-running wire and cable marketplace in the Americas was staged once again at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta on April 28-30. Held in conjunction with WAI’s 85th Annual Convention and with the Global Continuous Casting Forum (April 27-30), Interwire 2015 featured the presentation of 20 technical papers, a plant tour, a manufacturing workshop, and an exhibition with more than 400 companies from around the world, including many that are present on the web portal Expometals.net (more information on our show preview special).
Soon Expometals.net will also display new contents of the following companies that participated in Interwire: Boxy, producing steel reels for wires, ropes and cables, Effegidi, a specialist in tapes and packaging films, and Kinrei, specializing in cabling, bunching, and twinning products.
The exhibition hall was almost fully booked. Below, some comments and remarks of the exhibitors about their experience at Interwire 2015.
Sean Harrington, Ceeco Bartell Products, Bartell Machinery Systems:
“The show reflects the slight upturning in the US economy. We've obtained positive, serious leads, and met international customers from the Far East.”
Gabriele Muscarnera, Continuus Properzi:
“Interwire provided many interesting contacts, both in the ferrous and non ferrous branch. We also presented two papers at the GCCF, and appreciated this part of the event. Our presence in the US dates back to the Sixties, so we're a well-established company in this area.”
Giovanni Corti, OMAS:
“It's not our first participation in the trade show. I feel there's been a minor flow of visitors in comparison to previous editions.”
John Rumpz, Woodburn Diamond Die:
“Interwire 2015 provided us with a number of new opportunities, both in sales and in discussing new products. It was a very productive exhibition.”
Giorgio Corso, Lubrimetal Corp:
“The show went well for us, there's been a good turnout, especially of visitors from the US and also Mexico. Our new polymers that react to ultraviolet radiations by solidifying made a significant contribution to these achievements.”
Roberto Gnecchi, Tecno Impianti:
"Tecno Impianti Srl participated for the first time in the Interwire exhibition in Atlanta. Results have been positive, because many potential customers from USA and Canada have requested us to send offers for our wire drawing lines."
