Interwire, Lamiera, Made in Steel: that's how it went
A very busy week has just ended for the Expometals team; last week the portal and its staff tripled-teamed to participate in some of the most important events in the metal forming industry; a tiring week, but also full of satisfactions, meetings and new ideas.
At each event, we met the companies that also have an online stand on the international online network Expometals.net, collected opinions and comments and took pictures. Here's how it went.
From May 14 to 16 we flew to the United States to visit the international trade show Interwire 2019. The event, dedicated to the entire wire and cable industry and organized by the WAI Association, brought together all the major players in the field to the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. At the same time, Expometals had its own booth at Made in Steel, one of the major trade exhibitions in Southern Europe for the steel industry. From May 14 to 16, the fair crowded the halls 22 and 24 of the Fieramilano Rho exhibition center in Milan. According to the event organizers, this was a record edition, the best ever, with an increase by 12.3% compared to the 2017 edition, when it reached 14,714 visitors, with 26% foreign attendance.
Andrea Di Bello, Acciaierie Bertoli Safau: "While for Italy this was already a well-established trade show, for the first time we were able to meet customers from all over Europe. This is why it took the concerted efforts of all our team. We are especially happy of the excellent organization. The busy schedule of conferences was also remarkably interesting."
Giorgio Motta, Caleotto: "In the first two days of the fair the attendance was great. Many visitors came from Italy, less from abroad. Generally speaking we are satisfied, especially for the conference we held, in which we announced some big investments we recently made."

From May 15 to 18 the staff of Expometals was also involved in another fair, Lamiera 2019, in the halls immediately adjacent to Made in Steel. The team was able to meet several experts of the sector and confront with different realities. The event, dedicated mainly to flat products and fastening technologies, was a great success and registered over 26,000 entries, + 11% compared to the previous edition.
Giovanni Gnecchi, OMCG: "The participation we have spotted at LAMIERA makes us proud of the work done. The trade show allowed us to meet long-standing customers, with whom we renewed our collaboration, and to know new potential buyers, to whom we had the pleasure to present our products and services. We thank our visitors for their interest!". Read more >>
