Iran's H1 crude steel production up.

Iran's crude steel production has witnessed an 11.4-percent rise in the first half of 2011 compared to the corresponding period in the previous year.
According to the latest report by the World Steel Association, Iran produced 6.527 million tons of crude steel in the first six months of the current year.
The total crude steel production of the Middle East stood at about 10.254 million tons in the mentioned period. Iran was the second biggest steel producer in the Middle East in 2010.

The main steel mills of the country are located in Isfahan and Khuzestan provinces.
The major raw steel producers of Iran are the Mobarakeh Steel Mill, with approximately 47 percent of the market share, the Khuzestan Steel Company with about 23 percent, the Isfahan Foundry with about 20 percent, and the Iran National Steel Industries Group with approximately 10 percent of the market share.
