Italian industry stops, what about metalworking?

Italian companies stop by decree. This is in a few words the content of the last Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers signed by Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte on March 22 in response to the continuing and worsening spread of COVID-19.

Not only schools, theatres and bars then. Also the Italian industry stops, with some exceptions:
- activities that provide services of public utility are allowed;
- any company that is part of the health, pharmacological, medical-surgical, agro-food and everything that is functional to "face the emergency" is allowed to operate;
- plants with a continuous production cycle, which in the event of interruptions would give rise to accidents or serious damage to the plants themselves, may continue their activities;
- companies that are included in the aerospace and defence industry and those considered of national strategic importance can also continue to work.
- the companies in Annex 1 of the Decree are exempted from cessation of their activities; these include packaging, transport, trade of parts and accessories for motor vehicles, electrical installations, manufacture of machinery for the rubber industry.

- all production activities are allowed to continue if organized in remote or agile working mode (Expometals.net included).

And what about metalworking companies, wire drawing mills, machine manufacturers, screw and fasteners producers, those who produce tools or equipment? If they are not included in the above cases or in the codes communicated by Annex 1 they are obligated to close until 3 April 2020.
