Kazakhstan boosts Jan-Feb copper output by 2.6 pct. Kazakhstan produced 56,199 tonnes of refined copper in the first two months of this year, up 2.6 percent year-on-year, state statistics data showed. Production of alumina, bauxite, lead and crude steel also increased in year-on-year terms, while refined zinc output was flat. London-listed miners Kazakhmys and ENRC, as well as Glencore-controlled Kazzinc, account for a large part of Kazakhstan's metals output. ArcelorMittal owns the country's only major steel plant.
