Made in Steel heading towards a record edition
At just two months from the opening of Made in Steel Conference & Exhibition, southern Europe’s premier trade show for the steel industry that will take place from 17th to 19th May in the Fiera Milano exhibition centre, 90% of the 40,000 square meters of gross exhibition space have been sold. Last edition’s trend has been confirmed with more than 20% foreign exhibitors. Moreover, this year, for the first time, there will be a strong presence of Turkish exhibitors, marking a historical record for Made in Steel. At present, 17 different countries will be represented, including India and Saudi Arabia, as well as many EU and non-EU countries.
This sales percentage shows a net increase with respect to the exhibition space sold in the same period in 2015 for the 6th edition which in turn showed a 16% increase in the sale of exhibition space vs the 2013 edition, +25% of the sales revenue and +5% exhibiting companies. Visitor participation also experienced an increase of 17% with a count of well over 13,000 professional visitors, 22% of which were from 68 nations. Therefore, the first impression are very promising: 50% of the exhibition space was sold in only two months after the opening of registrations, thus predicting that this upcoming seventh edition of Made in Steel Conference and Exhibition is already a record edition.
Not only will the leading players from the iron and steel industry be the protagonists under the spotlight at Made in Steel, but also the main federations and associations that stand by and support the industry will also undoubtedly be making their presence. We are referring to Assofond – (The Italian National Foundry Federation, a member of Confindustria), Centro Inox (a non-profit association which studies and develops stainless steel applications), Federacciai (the Italian Federation part of Confindustria which represents over 150 Italian iron and steel member companies that produce and transform more than 95% of the Italian steel production).
Moreover, the full agenda of conferences and congresses includes the presentation of the conclusions of the Stati Generali dell’ACCIAIO, the Siderweb project aiming at developing a new steel culture.
Companies intending to book their space and to guarantee their presence at Made in Steel Conference & Exhibition, in halls 22 and 24 of Fiera Milan Exhibition Centre from 17 to 19 May 2017, are kindly invited to make their reservations on line as soon as possible. Get more information here.
