METAV 2022 postponed to the early summer
"A decision intended to help in avoiding generating additional costs and creating a safety plan for exhibitors”, with these words Dr Wilfried Schäfer, Executive Director of METAV, explains the reasons that prompted the trade show organization to postpone the event by a few months.
METAV, the international trade fair for metallurgical technologies, was initially scheduled for March. Due to the significant increase in coronavirus cases, the show will take place on June 21-24.
"We are in continuous contact with our exhibitors," commented Dr Wilfried Schäfer, "and we know that the decision to postpone METAV 2022 is supported and shared by most of them, who also greatly appreciated the new June dates."
In 2020, the event was first postponed and then cancelled due to the pandemic. In 2021, a digital version was organized in anticipation of 2022, the year of the final return to attendance. Unfortunately, visitors and exhibitors will have to be patient a little longer before they can see each other face-to-face again. However, as Martin Göbel, Managing Director Fairs of the German Machine Tool Builders Association, says, "Postponing METAV 2022 was the right thing to do." He continues, "We are going to have a wonderful experience this summer."
METAV showcases the full spectrum of manufacturing technologies, from machine tools to measuring instruments, accessories, software, machines and systems for additive manufacturing, manufacturing systems and components for the medical sector, and much more. For updates: www.metav.com
