METAV: venue and new dates announced!

VDW (German Machine Tool Builders' Association) announces the new dates of METAV.

The event, which was to be held from March 10 to 13, 2020, has been officially postponed until next year - it is now slated for March 23 to 26, 2021.

New dates but same venue: METAV will take place, as usual, at the Messe Düsseldorf trade center, and the some 460 exhibitors’ contracts will remain valid for the new dates. Assuming that this daunting situation due to the novel coronavirus will be solved by March next year, it is also reasonable to believe that the economy will have started to recover by then. The engineering market, in particular, is expecting a sudden rise in demand once the current crisis will be tackled.

“This was no easy matter, because the entire trade fair calendar has had to be rejigged due to the large number of exhibition cancellations and postponements," says Dr. Wilfried Schäfer, VDW Executive Director, “but we are delighted to have agreed a new date together with our partner, Messe Düsseldorf, so quickly”.
