Notice to aluminium operators: ALUMINIUM trade fair rescheduled for Sept. 2021
It was originally scheduled for May 18-20, 2021, in Düsseldorf, Germany. On January 28 the organizer Reed Exhibitions made the decision to postpone ALUMINIUM, the world's leading trade fair for the aluminum industry, to September 28-30.
The reason is always the same, it's the COVID-19 pandemic, which is reluctantly pushing trade show organizers, after discussions with exhibitors and partners, to postpone their events until better times.
"The still unclear developments of the pandemic and general uncertainty have prompted us to reassess the situation. For us, the priority is to minimize the health and economic risks to all participants and to avoid unnecessary costs," said Benedikt Binder-Krieglstein, CEO of Reed Exhibitions Deutschland GmbH.
"We urgently need this platform. After our markets collapsed last year due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we need the exchange to discuss important topics and propel the industry forward," added Marius Baader, Managing Director of Gesamtverband der Aluminiumindustrie e.V. (GDA), which is the German aluminum association, main partner of the exhibition.
The September show will mainly focus on a congress that will address the future of the aluminium industry. "The aluminum industry is still focused on overcoming the crisis,” commented Dr. Gerd Götz, Director General of European Aluminium.
Operators of the aluminium industry are looking forward to a new meeting opportunity. The last edition of the show gathered more than 24,000 trade visitors from 123 countries.
