Last Thursday the 3rd Southeast Asian edition of wire and Tube came to an end, after three days of exhibition. The international trade fair was held in Bangkok, Thailand, from September 13 to September 15. 385 international market leaders, including eight national groups from Austria, China, Germany, Italy, Singapore, United Kingdom, Taiwan, and USA, showcased at the two fairs. wire and Tube Southeast ASIA is held biennially, with this year marking the third time these trade fairs are being held in Bangkok, in one hall of the BITEC (Bangkok International Trade Exhibition Centre). The synergistic exhibitions have a long and established history in Southeast Asia having previously been located in Singapore from 1995 to 2005. The number of Chinese companies, and Asian in general, was massive. However the major international players were there, both in the wire industry (especially in the machinery and equipment field), and in the pipe industry (in this case, most of the exhibitors were tube producers, rather than tube equipment manufacturers).

According to the organizers, wire/Tube Southeast ASIA featured more wire, cable, tube and pipe exhibitors than ever before. Most of the companies were satisfied with their participation, having been able to personally meet old and new customers in one strategic area as Southeast Asia. Some companies found the turnout not particularly remarkable, and complained of the proliferation of fairs. For all of them, the fair in Duesseldorf is always No. 1.

As previously announced, wire and Tube Southeast ASIA saw the participation of many companies that also exhibit online on this network. During the show, four international enterprises entered the ranks of our online exhibitors: the well-known German machine supplier Ernst Koch; TC-Consulting, a new firm, coming also from Germany, that provides technical support for the wire drawing and rolling process; the American Wire & Plastic Machinery Corp., a global equipment supplier offering high quality solutions for wire, cable & optical fiber manufacturing, and the Chinese Comsuc Technology (CST Reels).
In the coming weeks the permanent stands of these companies will be setup.
