Tata Steel: Corus to invest in French steel mill

Tata Steel: Corus to invest in French steel mill. India's Tata Steel Ltd., the world's sixth-largest steelmaker by output, said its European unit, Corus, will make an investment of EUR35 million in its steel mill at Hayange, France, to expand its capacity. The announcement comes after Corus said it had secured a EUR350 million contract to supply rails to French railway operator SNCF over the next four years. The investment will boost the mill's capacity from to 340,000 metric tons from 300,000 tons and help it produce 108-meter-long rails.
