Technical springs are elastic connecting elements. By changing their shape they can absorb or store mechanical energy or make it harmless. They damp impacts, measure and limit forces, or modify vibrations. Most technical springs are manufactured by forming wire or metallic strip made of spring steels or non-ferrous metals such as copper alloys.
