The CRU World Optical Fiber & Cable Conference debut in Charlotte, US

The CRU World Optical Fiber & Cable Conference is a key annual seminar for the leaders of the telecommunications and optical fiber industries: this year CRU, along with host sponsor Corning Incorporated, will bring the conference to the United States for the first time in the history of the event.

The conference will be held November 18-20 in Charlotte, North Carolina, US, and international leading telecom network executives, fiber optic producers, solution providers, and industry innovators will be there.

The main themes will include the role of the US in building a fiber-enabled society, 5G evolution, smart cities, and more, and experts will give speeches on developments in telecom markets around the world.
Keynote speakers confirmed include Tara Mooar, Vice President, Global Engineering & System Performance of Verizon, and Rich Baca, Data Center Fiber Optic Architecture & Novel Optical Solutions of Microsoft Azure.

Micheal Finch, Head of Wire and Cable, of CRU, claimed that “given the volatility of global markets, now it is the perfect time to talk about the latest developments in trends such as 5G network deployment and hyper-scale data-center investment. We are therefore delighted to be able to share a line-up for this year’s event that includes thought-leaders from the companies shaping these advances.”

There will also be a large exhibition showcasing global experts in ground breaking next-generation technologies and solutions for the industry.
