Messe Düsseldorf, organiser of many international trade fairs for the wire, cable and tube sector, and its partner Grupo Cipa have announced a new fair in South America: The first wire South America, to take place from 1 – 3 October 2013 together with TUBOTECH, at the Imigrantes Exhibition Centre in Sao Paulo, Brazil.   Brazil is one of the world's emerging growth markets and is now the sixth-biggest economy in the world. Brazil’s gross domestic product (GDP), is the biggest in America with the exception of the USA. Brazil has long since been the second-biggest global producer of iron ore and the eighth most important manufacturer of steel, as well as being the third-biggest manufacturer of aircrafts and the fourth-biggest of automobiles. The country also boasts nearly two million kilometres of motorways, 70 airports and by far the biggest deposits of offshore oil and gas in the world. It is also well on its way to being the biggest producer of food products in the world.  Brazil is also widely viewed as having considerable economic potential. This is due, among other reasons, to its rapid pace of industrialisation, its political stability, and its considerable reserves of raw materials and resources. As well as two world-class events mean Brazil is going to play an even bigger role on the world stage: The 2014 football World Cup and the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.   These are two further reasons why the country’s economic development programme for 2011–2014 is focusing on the areas of energy, infrastructure and social urban development. The programme involves government spending of R$ 980 bn. (approx. € 450 bn.), the majority of which is to be invested in the area of energy (R$ 465 bn.)   Held in conjunction with Tubotech, the 7th International Trade Fair for Tubes & Pipes, Valves, Pumps, Fittings and Components, wire South America, Sao Paulo will be the meeting point for the Brasilian industry leaders and for the whole international wire industry.
