With pact, Timken hopes to sell more steel in Asia

Timken collaborates with Daido Steel Co to expand its steel solutions offerings in Asia. Friction management and power transmission products and services provider The Timken Company expanded its engineered steel solutions offering to customers in Asia by collaborating with Daido Steel Co Ltd, the company revealed on Wednesday. Speciality steel products manufacturer Daido Steel signed a second collaboration for an initial five-year period whereby it will manufacture high-performance steel as specified by Timken, said the company, which will carry the Timken brand and be marketed and distributed by Timken's sales force and its authorised distributors in Asia.
