The dies are available in a wide range of standard geometries including square, rectangular, flat, hexagonal, and triangular, and can also be customized into special shapes such as trapezoidal, petal, or other irregular profiles according to specific wire designs. With available dimensions from 0.1 mm to 25 mm, Weilly’s PCD shaped dies guarantee consistent accuracy and mirror-polished surfaces that minimize friction and enhance productivity.

These dies are ideal for copper and aluminum wires for motors and transformers, flat and ribbon wires for electronic components, and structural or profile wires used in the automotive, aerospace, and precision engineering sectors. The high polish quality achieved produces exceptionally smooth wire surfaces. This superior finish allows the conductors to be wound more densely in applications such as motor stator slots, improving the slot fill factor—up to about 99%—and resulting in more compact, energy-efficient coils.
