Slitting lines for high-speed coil processing
Novastilmec manufactures slitting lines for the longitudinal cutting of wide metal coils into narrower strips, which are subsequently recoiled. The lines process cold- and hot-rolled materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper and brass, as well as high-strength and ultra-high-strength materials.
Technological features
- Slitter shears: heavy-duty rigid housings and precision-engineered mandrels guarantee perfectly stable, ultra precise cutting even at maximum production speeds.
- Automation and setup: automatic tool changing and positioning of separator discs completed within minutes, drastically reducing downtime.
- Braking units: rotary units and/or felt press systems designed by Novastilmec to ensure efficient strip speed compensation for high quality of rewound coils.
