Cold-forming machine for automotive components

Hatebur, a Swiss-based company established in 1930, is a global leader in the design and manufacturing of innovative forming machines. Among its extensive product range is the COLDmatic series, versatile and efficient cold-forming machines engineered for the precise production of automotive components and other parts with complex geometries.
Key features
• accurate infeed system: ensures precise material feeding, enhancing the quality of the formed parts;
• precision high-speed shearing: delivers clean cut-offs at high speeds, contributing to efficient production cycles;
• versatile transfer system: allows for the handling of a broad range of part geometries, increasing the machine's application flexibility;
• gentle part discharge: minimizes damage to finished parts during ejection, maintaining high-quality standards.
Applications
The Hatebur COLDmatic machines are ideal for producing formed parts with diameters up to approximately 32 mm, making them suitable for manufacturing demanding and complex geometries, such as automotive components, ICE parts, and BEV parts.
CM 625: technical specifications
• Forming stations: 6
• Maximum wire diameter: 22 mm (at 500 N/mm² tensile strength)
• Cut-off length range: 8 – 125 mm
• Maximum part diameter: approximately 32 mm
• Adjustable stroke rate: 110 – 170 strokes per minute
• Total press capacity: 2,500 kN
The CM 625 includes an innovative linear servo-infeed system as well as a servo-transfer unit. All grippers are driven by servo motors for adjusting opening and closing timing as required. The machine is also available in the CM 625 WS variant, which includes pre-heating equipment near the shearing knife. This feature enables the processing of high-temperature alloys, expanding the machine's material handling capabilities.
CM 725: technical specifications
• Forming stations: 7
• Maximum wire diameter: 22 mm (at 500 N/mm² tensile strength)
• Cut-off length range: 8–125 mm
• Maximum part diameter: approximately 32 mm
• Adjustable stroke rate: 90–170 strokes per minute
• Total press capacity: 2,500 kN
The CM 725 includes an innovative linear servo-infeed system as well as a servo-transfer unit. All grippers are driven by servo motors for adjusting opening and closing timing as required. The machine is also available with an optional servo direct drive system, a feature introduced by Hatebur to enhance energy efficiency and reduce maintenance requirements. This innovation eliminates traditional drive components like belts and flywheels, resulting in smoother operations and lower overall costs.
COLDmatic CM 4-5ECO: technical specifications
• Forming stations: 5
• Maximum wire diameter: 22 mm (at 500 N/mm² tensile strength)
• Cut-off length range: 8–125 mm
• Maximum part diameter: approximately 32 mm
• Adjustable stroke rate: 110–160 strokes per minute (optional high-speed setting of up to 180 strokes per minute)
• Total press capacity: 1,700 kN
The CM 4-5ECO is also available in the CM 4-5ECO WS variant, which includes pre-heating equipment near the shearing knife. This feature enables the processing of high-temperature alloys, expanding the machine's material handling capabilities.
