High-deformability phosphated wire for cold forming

High-deformability phosphated wire for cold forming

PHP© high-pressure phosphated wire - 1.8 to 40 mm

The PHP© high-deformability phosphated wire for cold forming represents an innovative solution for customers operating in the industrial sector. PHP©, the result of a high-pressure finishing process that involves the application of sodium soap to the wire, comes in diameters ranging from 1.8 to 40 mm. This innovative process significantly enhances the product's performance by reducing friction coefficients to very low levels.

The advantages of PHP© wire are numerous: its high deformability allows the production of highly complex pieces, with coatings exceeding 80%, without compromising their performance. In addition, the low friction coefficient (equal to μ=0.04 at the beginning of the forming process and μ=0.12 after the most elaborate forming) ensures lower working temperatures and an increased lifespan of machinery, minimizing tool consumption.

PHP© wire is suitable for all processes requiring finishing (skin-pass) and guarantees low roughness thanks to its LR (low roughness) technology. Depending on the type of lubricant used, the wire surface roughness can reach a maximum of Ra <= 0.22. The high precision allows obtaining pieces with a finish equivalent to grinding, thus cutting costs associated with additional processing. Production with similar specifications would be impossible using phosphorus-polymer wire.

The available processes are K (+U+C), GK (+U+AC+C), KGK (+U+C+AC+LC), and GKGK (+U+AC+C+AC+LC).

In conclusion, the high-deformability phosphated wire for cold forming PHP© is a reliable and efficient solution for manufacturers looking to improve their performance and reduce processing costs.
