Basic training program for drawing operators, production supervisors, die room supervisors

This basic training program is geared toward drawing operators, production supervisors, die room supervisors and new personnel. These simple explanations will provide the knowledge to help reduce production mistakes and understand how to deal with issues including draw down, out of roundness, die failures and using the wrong rod size.

This presentation uses a 1 hour format to address basic questions and issues and can be used for each shift so that everyone in the plant can use the same terms and approach. Our program includes reference materials for review and basic training explanations. We also offer advanced training programs, on-site consulting, and a variety of seminars. Understanding your die makes all the difference in production. Our goal in this training program is to teach the production floor level personnel the daily details of what makes a good and bad die. We cover why dies are important and what causes the problems with die wear We also explain how to inspect a die and offer practical advice on eliminating several common problems such as poor or no lubrication, wire breakage, central bursts or chevrons, excessive heat,
scratching and die failures.
