Rigid cage stranders for round and sector shaped conductors

Stolberger, a leader in the cable machinery industry, manufactures and markets rigid cage stranders for round and sector shaped conductors.

Bobbin size range: 400 to 800 mm flange diameter.
Number of bobbins per cage: 6 – 12 – 18 – 24 - 30.

Cage construction
The rotor cage is fabricated of steel cast bobbin supports which are fixed on a central tube. Each cage has 3 rows of bobbins.

Cage drive
Each stranding cage is driven by an AC motor, flanged with a cage gearbox. As an option the strander can be provided with an automatic speed acceleration control system.

Bobbin support
Between pintles running in bearings, closed by compression cup springs and opened pneumatically.

Bobbin braking
By a pneumatic/electrically controlled brake system with brake sheave and rope. The wire tension is kept constant from full to empty bobbin.

Several options are available as per customer request.
