DTMI 2025

DTMI 2025

DTMI 2025, the International Workshop Ing. Carlo Longaretti on Digital Tools for the Metallurgical Industry, will be held on November 27–28, 2025, at the Congress Center Giovanni XXIII in Bergamo, Italy. Organized by the Italian Association for Metallurgy (AIM) and chaired by Prof. Carlo Mapelli from Politecnico di Milano, the event will offer an international platform for exchanging results and developments in the application of digital technologies to metallurgical processes.

An international hub for digital innovation in metallurgy

DTMI 2025 will focus on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, computational simulation, and data protection in the metallurgical field. The workshop aims to foster dialogue between academia and industry, promoting the digital transition through case studies, research findings, and practical applications. Key topics will include AI-driven quality control, digital twins, predictive maintenance, and process optimization in steelmaking and metal processing.

Organizers and event structure

DTMI 2025 is organized by a committee composed of leading experts from research institutes and major industrial players such as CNR-ICMATE, Feralpi Siderurgica, Tenova, Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pomini Long Rolling Mills, and Cogne Acciai Speciali. The two-day program includes thematic sessions dedicated to Artificial Intelligence, numerical simulation, digital twin applications, industrial monitoring systems, and sustainability in production.

Bridging research and industry

At DTMI 2025, researchers, engineers, and industry professionals will have the opportunity to present studies, projects, and innovative solutions that contribute to the digital transformation of the metallurgical industry. Alongside the technical sessions, the event will also feature networking opportunities, including the conference dinner on November 27 at Hotel San Marco in Bergamo.
