MD / SSCD wire drawing dies

Weilly Diamond manufactures Monocrystalline Diamond (MD) and Synthetic Single Crystal Diamond (SSCD) dies engineered for demanding wire drawing operations where tight tolerances, low friction, and mirror-polished finishes are critical. Produced from MD111 diamond by Element Six (Ireland), these dies feature precise {111} crystal orientation, ensuring excellent hardness, thermal conductivity, and structural stability.

Compared with Natural Diamond (ND) dies, MD / SSCD dies offer up to 30% longer tool life, maintaining superior surface quality and dimensional accuracy even under high-speed drawing conditions. Available in wire sizes from 0.015 mm to 1.5 mm, they deliver consistent performance and extended durability.

Applications include fine copper and aluminum wire for electronics, stainless steel and medical wires, as well as precious and specialty alloy wires requiring smooth surfaces and minimal deformation.
