GF-ELTI supplies "Valtulini HBw" devices for automatic or semi-automatic Brinell or Vickers hardness measurements of pieces.

GF-ELTI devices feature:
- a mobile portal;
- a multifunctional head;
- a fixed or rotating working base;
- electrical controls;

The machine complexity and number of axes vary according to requirements.

The pieces to be inspected are placed on the working base located immediately below the mobile portal, which carries a multifunctional “revolver” head equipped as follows:
- two laser pointing units (a long-range one, to locate and memorize the measuring point, and a short-range one, to control the distance between the head and the surface of the piece);
- a mill, for localized polishing of the surface;
- a test impression indenter;
- an optical unit, for the acquisition of the impression image;
- a marker, to engrave the test results on the piece.

Each test is performed following the mapping of the test points, which can be done permanently or from time to time via machine self-learning. Thanks to this functionality, Valtulini HBw devices can be used both semi-automatically, in a context characterized by a limited number of products, and automatically, with high volumes and repetitive operations.
