Exogas and endothermic gas generators for heat treatment industrial furnaces

The use of protective atmospheres is a common practice in heat treatment furnaces.
Depending on the materials to be treated and in particular their affinity with oxygen, the composition of the shielding gases varies.

Carbon steels preferably use endothermic atmospheres, while in the case of wires, tapes, sheets with low carbon content, the least expensive exogas is used, the latter obtained through the partial combustion of hydrocarbons.
