Cold formed multidiameter studs

Prima Zanetti manufactures cold-formed multi-diameter pins according to customer specifications, featuring complex geometries across multiple diameters, including integrated holes. These components are mainly intended for the automotive, household appliance, and electromechanical industries, where precision and reliability are essential.

The product range includes three main categories:

• relay cores in RFe and magnetic cores
• fastening and connecting pins
• pins for mechanical assemblies and motion systems

Production process

Production is carried out through cold forming using 3-die, 4-die, or 5-die progressive headers, processing wire diameters from 2.5 mm up to 15 mm.

Secondary operations

The production cycle is completed with secondary operations, including threading up to M8, straight, cross, or custom knurling, lapping, grooves, and chip-removal machining operations.

Heat treatments

Prima Zanetti can directly provide heat treatments such as stress-relief annealing or magnetic annealing in an inert atmosphere, quenching and tempering, and carbonitriding.

Surface coatings

Surface coatings are also available, including zinc plating (acid or alkaline, Cr VI-free), electrolytic and electroless nickel plating, copper plating, tin plating, zinc-nickel coating, stainless steel passivation, PTFE coating, oiling, and zinc phosphating, as well as vibratory finishing and electropolishing treatments.
