Aggregates for bituminous and concrete conglomerates (Granella®)

Ferrous scrap melting during steel manufacturing processes also generates a by-product, called slag, mainly made up of calcium, silicon, steel drops, and iron oxides joint together in a crystalline and partially vitreous form.

This potential waste is given great value through a specific production process to generate Granella®: a great example of circular economy.
Granella® is engineered for the manufacturing of bituminous and concrete road paving.

This product features better physical and mechanical characteristics compared to the traditional high grade aggregates from effusive origin.

Advantages:
- improved road safety: the better micro and macro-rugosity combination greatly increases adherence on road pavements, thus enhancing safety;
- potential by-product enhancement, reducing waste against the backdrop of an eco-friendly company.

Granella® bears the CE mark according to the EU Regulation n. 305/2011 and in compliance with the UNI EN 13043, UNI EN 12620, and UNI EN 13242 regulations.

Granella® has been a registered product REACH N° 01-2119485979-09-0071 since November 11, 2010.
