Cold formed hollow and half-hollow rivets

Prima Zanetti manufactures cold-formed hollow and half-hollow rivets according to customer specifications. They differ from solid rivets due to the presence of a hollow section, making them suitable for applications requiring through passages or specific assembly conditions. These components are mainly intended for the electromechanical and electrical/electronics industries.

Technical specifications

Production is carried out using two-blow single-die headers. Components can reach a maximum length of 65 mm.

Secondary operations

The production cycle can be integrated with secondary operations, including threading up to M8, straight, cross, or custom knurling, lapping, grooves, and chip-removal machining operations.

Heat treatments

Prima Zanetti can directly provide heat treatments such as stress-relief annealing or magnetic annealing in an inert atmosphere, quenching and tempering, and carbonitriding.

Surface coatings and treatments

Available surface finishes include acid or alkaline zinc plating without Cr VI, electrolytic and electroless nickel plating, copper plating, tin plating, zinc-nickel coating, stainless steel passivation, PTFE coating, oiling, and zinc phosphating, as well as vibratory finishing and electropolishing treatments.
