Cold formed solid rivets

Prima Zanetti manufactures cold-formed solid rivets according to customer specifications, featuring geometries generally developed on two diameters, and in some cases on three diameters. This configuration allows production on two-blow single-die mechanical headers, ensuring higher precision and repeatability. These components are mainly intended for the electromechanical and electrical/electronics industries.

Technical specifications

Production starts from wire with diameters ranging from 0.8 mm to 7 mm, with lengths up to 70 mm.

Secondary operations

The production cycle can be integrated with secondary operations, including threading up to M8, straight, cross, or custom knurling, lapping, grooves, and chip-removal machining operations.

Heat treatments

Prima Zanetti can directly provide heat treatments such as stress-relief annealing or magnetic annealing in an inert atmosphere, quenching and tempering, and carbonitriding.

Surface coatings and treatments

Available surface finishes include acid or alkaline zinc plating without Cr VI, electrolytic and electroless nickel plating, copper plating, tin plating, zinc-nickel coating, stainless steel passivation, PTFE coating, oiling, and zinc phosphating, as well as vibratory finishing and electropolishing treatments.
