Hydraulic cold pressure welder for large non-ferrous rod
The P1500 is PWM's electro/hydraulic cold pressure welder for large-diameter non-ferrous rod, covering copper from 15 to 25mm and EC aluminum from 15 to 30mm, depending on material hardness. Hydraulically powered and electronically controlled, it offers wire and cable manufacturers a cost-effective method of joining large cross-sectional areas.
Grip and upset forces are generated by an independent arrangement of hydraulic cylinders. On completion of the weld, the control system performs automatic deflashing. Power consumption is minimal, limited to the hydraulic pump motor.
