Heat treatment

GF-ELTI roller hearth furnaces are systems specifically designed and manufactured for the heat treatment of round section bars and tubes.

This type of plant is designed to achieve temperature uniformity and variable reheating and cooling gradients based on the heat treatment to be performed. The maximum operating temperature is about 1,100 °C.
Manufactured with the modular prefabrication technique, roller hearth furnaces are equipped with GF-ELTI auto-recuperative burners characterized by high speed and fixed power, managed by PLC.

The open-flame burners are arranged in a vault, in a staggered position with respect to the rollers below to ensure uniformity over the entire surface of the charge. The rollers are positioned with an inclined axis with respect to the furnace axis so as to always keep the processed bars or tubes rotating during furnace advancement.

The furnace typically consists of:
- quadrangular, rectangular, or hexagonal muffle;
- inlet and outlet doors;
- charge handling rollers;
- flat vault;
- combustion system;
- electrothermal control equipment.
