ELBC is the premier lead battery innovation conference, gathers global experts, researchers, companies, and suppliers. This edition - the 38th - will take place in Milan, from September 16 to 19, 2024.

ELBC, all about innovations in the battery field

The conference highlights advancements in technical improvements and electrochemical research across energy storage and automotive lead batteries. The event anticipates over 1000 attendees passionate about lead battery innovation. The event is co-organized by the International Lead Association and the Consortium for Battery Innovation. ELBC 2024 also includes an exhibition of 120+ exhibitors from more than 20 countries, representing a diverse network of suppliers in the lead battery industry.

A workshop for the new battery regulation

The EU Batteries Regulation, implemented in 2023, marks a significant milestone as it introduces comprehensive regulation covering the entire life cycle of batteries for the first time. It encompasses various battery types, including portable batteries, electric vehicle batteries, industrial batteries, SLI batteries, and batteries used in light transport such as electric bikes, e-mopeds, and e-scooters. This dedicated workshop provides crucial information relevant to both non-EU battery manufacturers and EU producers.
