Selcable, established in 2000, is the Swedish business organization representing cable and wire manufacturers. As the voice of the Swedish cable industry, it represents five prominent member companies: AMOKABEL, Hexatronic Cables & Interconnect Systems, Nexans Sweden AB, NKT AB, and Prysmian Group Sverige AB.

The organization serves as a crucial intermediary in promoting and communicating industry interests, particularly in standardization and regulatory matters. Selcable maintains a strong presence in European and international working groups and represents Swedish cable manufacturers in Europacable, the European Confederation of National Associations of Manufacturers of Insulated Wire and Cable.

The organization operates with three primary objectives: serving as a transparent lobby organization for the cable industry in EU and national regulations, providing trusted technical information on cable products and engaging in standardization processes, and enhancing the visibility of the Swedish cable industry.

Selcable's member companies are leaders in their field, producing a wide range of products including overhead lines, power cables, special cables, and installation cables for various sectors such as energy networks, industry, and e-mobility. These companies collectively employ thousands of workers and maintain modern production facilities across multiple countries, serving global markets with innovative and sustainable cable solutions.

The organization also promotes environmental responsibility through initiatives such as a pooling system for cable drums in Sweden, where all cable producers accept returned cable drums from any customer. Selcable's office is located at Teknikföretagens Branschgrupper AB, and all activities are conducted in accordance with their code of conduct, ensuring compliance with competition law and maintaining good order in association activities.
