History and Evolution
Founded in Birmingham, UK, in the spring of 1979, the ITA experienced steady membership growth, particularly in the United States. This expansion led to the establishment of a US Management Board in 1990, followed by the creation of similar regional boards and offices in various parts of the world, including India and Russia. A significant milestone was the creation of the first Tube Düsseldorf exhibition in 1986 in collaboration with NOWEA (now Messe Düsseldorf), solidifying ITA's role as a key industry partner and main sponsor for global Tube trade fairs across locations such as Singapore, India, Russia, and China.
Membership and Offerings
The ITA provides a comprehensive suite of resources and opportunities for its members. This includes organizing and facilitating technical conferences, such as the ITA Tube Conference in Düsseldorf, and informal meetings designed for exchange and networking.
